This Ackee and Saltfish recipe is an authentic Jamaican recipe. But instead of using fresh ackee, I made the recipe easier and more convenient by using canned ackee.

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Servings: 4 

Ackee & Salt Fish

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Canned Ackee
  • 1 lb Saltfish
  • 1 Onions Sliced
  • 1 Small tomato Diced
  • Assorted Sweet bell pepper ½ red and ½ green or ½ yellow. 
  • 1 Stalk scallions Chopped
  • 2 Sprig thyme
  • ¼ tsp JA Blends & Spices Scotch Bonnet Pepper Powder.
  • ½ tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

INSTRUCTIONS

Notes

If you soaked the Saltfish overnight you might have to add a little salt back to the pot.
